The Fancast Watch List

FC_WatchList.jpg

A funny thing happens when people apply new technology to their lives. They adapt, and then they want more. At Fancast, we know the features that impress you today are the same things you’ll take for granted in six months. We’re the same way. That’s why we are constantly developing new applications.

Later this year, we plan to launch a feature that will allow you to use Fancast as your entertainment reminder by creating a Watchlist, what will essentially be a personalized playlist. With the Fancast Watchlist, you can note what movies and TV shows you are interested in watching even if they aren’t yet available. You can even set this organizer to tell you when something is on a specific format.

Maybe you are interested in “Sweeny Todd,” but not so interested that you will go to see it in theaters. The Fancast Watchlist can let you know when it’s on a premium cable channel you subscribe to and send you an email or SMS reminder. If you like, the Watchlist will automatically alert your DVR to record the movie at the next availability.

Here’s another example. Let’s say you are interested in “Batman: The Dark Knight.” Even though they haven’t finished making it yet, you can put it on your Watchlist and forget about it. In a year from now, long after you’ve forgotten about it, Fancast will tell you when the movie is in theaters. You’ll even be able to tell Fancast to purchase tickets for you through Fandango.

All you have to do is show up at the theater. Sorry, we can’t do anything about finding you a parking space.

The Watchlist is just one more way Fancast is making it easier for you to organize and personalize your entertainment watching, so you don’t have to miss anything good. Even better, you don’t have to waste any of your valuable time.
