THR - Alanis Morissette, who has played God and also done untoward things with Dave Coulier in a theater, has signed on to Radio Free Albermuth, an adaptation of vaunted sci-fi author Philip K. Dick’s semi-autobiographical book, to be directed by John Alan Simon and starring Jonathan Scarfe,

She’ll be Sylvia, who comes to Scarfe’s record label exec Nick in a dream before becoming his secretary and soulmate, and it’s apparently based loosely on Dick’s own visions that he had in the 70s, before his death in 1985. It’s somehow unsurprising that the guy who wrote the stories of Blade Runner, Screamers and A Scanner Darkly had strange hallucinations.
