A New Sheen In Town And He’s Looking Good

The name “Sheen” in Hollywood usually brings to mind either Apocalypse Now or hookers. Very soon, though, it’ll also bring to mind Tony Blair.
British actor Michael Sheen has played Tony Blair in two Stephen Frears films - The Queen and The Deal - and he may do so again in The Special Relationship, focusing on the Bush-Blair pairing. But Hollywood needs to pay attention because he’s also going to be starring as David Frost in Ron Howard’s upcoming Frost/Nixon, and he’s just signed on for parts in both Unthinkable, a Samuel L. Jackson/Carrie-Anne Moss thriller centering around the ethics of torture in a doomsday scenario, and Tim Burton’s impending reimagineering of Alice in Wonderland, which already stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. A keener Sheen, indeed.
