New on DVD: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull [watch trailers & clips]
All of the prior Indiana Jones DVD packs now have to be reorganized, as the fourth and long-delayed installment in the series has arrived. Did you love watching Harrison Ford don the fedora and get his swagger back? Or are you among those who inspired the recent controversial episode of South Park which featured George Lucas and Steven Spielberg re-enacting famous movie rape scenes with Indy as their victim, traumatizing fans everywhere? Did hearing the sweeping John Williams score and watching Dr. Jones throw some haymakers alongside his son Mutt Williams (Shia LaBeouf) make up for the fact that the crystal skull belonged to an ancient alien? Did the return of Karen Allen as Marion negate the film’s “nuking the fridge” incident giving rise to a new term signifying when a movie franchise has “jumped the shark?” Watch it again on DVD, now that you no longer have your unrealistic expectations that could never have been matched, and see what you think a second time around.
War, Inc. [watch trailers & clips]
A biting satire of modern-day warfare starring John Cusack as an assassin wearing black suits and guns (not unlike his beloved Martin Blank in Grosse Point Blank) with Joan Cusack pulling his strings. He’s posing as a trade-show attendee in order to take out the oil minister of Turaqastan so that ex-veep Dan Aykroyd’s corporation can move in and start making a killing of its own. This job is something he has to juggle with organizing the wedding of a foreign popstar Yonica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff). But look out for ace reporter Marisa Tomei is out to uncover the truth. And don’t forget we’ve got Ben Kingsley with a southern drawl, to boot.
