Common, Megan Gale, Adam Brody

So WB is pushing forward with their Justice League film, cast with lesser-known actors in order to save costs, since it’ll have to be a giant effects budget. Currently, it’s in ’script-revision’ mode, now that the writers’ strike is done.

George Miller is directing, Common is playing Geen Lantern, Megan Gale is Wonder Woman (and she certainly looks the part), and Adam Brody has settled in as the Flash.

Fan opinion is divided, because many believe Christian Bale should be playing Batman and Brandon Routh should be Superman, but they are apparently sticking to their own franchises. Ah, well. Might be for the best.

Justice League could be a great tool for spinning off all the non Superman/Batman heroes in the DC Comics line, getting them around clunky origin stories so their own franchises can hit the ground running. Wonder Woman’s backstory in particular would be a huge headache to delve into, most likely, since she was made out of clay on a mystical island of Greek Amazons, so best to just mention it, say ‘magic!’ and move on to kicking butt.
