Amanda Peet Caught Up In “2012″

Roland Emmerich, the man who ruined Godzilla, is making yet another disaster movie, this time about the end of the world as predicted by the Mayans in 2012. At least some of the budget for this thing is going to go to a worthy cause like Amanda Peet, who’s just nabbed the lead role in a strangely talented ensemble cast. She’s playing John Cusack’s ex-wife, and the film also boasts Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Oliver Platt and Thandie Newton. It’s almost as if this will be one of those movies that you know will be lame, but the cast makes it worth watching… but it’s a Roland Emmerich movie, so that’s impossible.

Still, Emmerich has not been punished enough for Godzilla. I’ve been demanding he change careers since 1998.
