Parts of the “New York City” and “New England” sets which Ghost Whisperer, Monk, House, Spider Man, and Transformers once called home were destroyed in a 12-hour fire at the Universal Studios back lot in Universal City, CA, Sunday morning. Luckily there were no human casualties, but what else suffered? About three blocks worth of facades, the King Kong exhibit, thousands of film reels (of which there are duplicates at another location), and at least one landmark set piece: the clock tower which allowed Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) to time travel in Back to the Future.
