Here’s some good news for a change: There’s great entertainment available for kids, teens, and the whole family. It’s right here on Fancast, and the best part is it’s absolutely free. We prepared a list of 10 picks guaranteed to amuse and occupy kids from age 2 to 60. Enjoy.

10. Major Dad
Who doesn’t love to see Marines acting goofy? Major Dad was actually a step dad so we get to see him trying to adapt to being a father to three young girls. And of course, hilarity ensues. Get ready to laugh at the big bangs of the early ‘90s… and I guess some of the jokes are OK, too.

9. The Price Is Right
When Drew Carey took over TPIS, I had my reservations. But, he brought some youth and comedic value to the show. There’s no better way to bond as a family than by screaming at the dumb contestants as they overbid or underspin the giant wheel. It also teaches kids the value of a dollar… because money doesn’t grow on trees, ya know!

8. Fudge
The best part about this show is that it was based on the popular Judy Blume book series. And as most parents know from Harry Potter, getting kids to read books is a victory in and of itself. It’s a great example of a kid’s show that adults can tolerate as well.

7. Nanny and the Professor
If this isn’t the epitome of wholesome, I don’t know what is. A mixture between Mary Poppins and Bedknobs & Broomsticks, this show is old school witchcraft at its best. While it’s fun for kids, it’s also fun for adults (even though I was only snickering because of the ridiculousness).

6. The Addams Family
Even though this show aired over 40 years ago, its imagery and cult status is still going strong today. Everyone knows the theme song, everyone knows the characters, and everyone loves the show. It’s another example of a show that resonates with kids and adults alike.

5. Speed Racer
No doubt you’ll score brownie points for watching this show with your kids, especially with the popularity of the live-action movie this past summer. The Mach 5 is also an incredibly neat car and important for every parent to know what it looks like (for Christmas, of course).

4. The Woody Woodpecker Show
Pretty much everyone grew up watching Woody Woodpecker. I remember sitting in front of one of those giant wooden TVs that sat on the floor next to the Atari and laughing my head off at this show. Plus, Mel Blanc voiced the insane bird. Who doesn’t love Mel Blanc?

3. Boo!
This show is perfect for the toddler in your life! Full of bright colors, animals, and exciting locales, Boo is a cuddly character who, along with his friends, will lead kids on many adventures. It’s a BBC creation, though, so don’t be surprised if your toddler starts talking with a Cockney accent.

2. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader
Not only is this show educational, but it gives kids the chance to school their parents. There was nothing I loved more than to quiz my parents on things I learned in class one day and for them to not know the answer. Plus, Jeff Foxworthy is awesome.

1. Alf
The acronymic letters in the title of this NBC sitcom stood for “Alien Life Form,” and it’s as a good a way as any to describe the protagonist, an orange-haired, pint-sized 299-year-old space alien with an aardvark-like nose and a propensity for mischief and comic sarcasm. Get ready to fall in love — and laugh.
