Killing Zoe

Watch Roger Avary’s Killing Zoe in its entirety right here, right now on Fancast.

Co-writer of Pulp Fiction, the Academy Award-winning Roger Avary, made his directorial debut with Killing Zoe, putting his unique, violently black comic spin on the classic tale of a bank heist gone wrong.

Zed (Eric Stoltz) is an ex-con safe-cracker who hook up with his pal Eric (Jean-Hugues Anglade) in Paris for a bank job, taking time out to hook up with a hooker with a heart of gold named Zoe (Julie Delpy). The day of the job, however, is preceded by an all night bender, leaving the whole gang hungover and fried, so when they actually try to execute their criminal plan, it goes completely haywire when the cops are on the scene way too fast. The fact that Zoe doubles as a teller in the bank is one hell of a hitch, to boot, and leads to a tense and crazed situation that’s going to end with a lot of blood. Of course it’s bloody - it’s executive produced by Quentin Tarantino, too.

It’s a cult classic from that independent-film renaissance era, and Avary’s craziness is well on display - he’s even said that watching this film is like seeing his evil twin. Watch Killing Zoe for yourself and imagine what your evil twin might be like.
