Shia LaBeouf, who rolled his pickup last Sunday and was booked on suspicion of a DUI, is the latest Tinseltown Celebrity to suffer the unfortunate fate of getting behind the wheel after one too many for the road. Can’t these fabulously wealthy imbibers afford to call a cab? We haven’t seen his latest mug shot yet, but you can bet he won’t look as upbeat as his 2007 shoot with Chicago police after he was arrested for refusing to leave a Walgreen’s.
But hey, rather than go all negative by showing our favorite rehabbed reprobates at their worst, let’s take a stroll down Memory Lane and revisit some of the Photo Galleries that helped build the reputations of these other A-Listers, before there were numbers under their chins:
10. Lindsay Lohan: July 24, 2007. Less than two weeks out of rehab, with another drunken-driving case pending, Lohan was booked for investigation of drunken driving and cocaine possession after a frightened woman dialed 911 to report being chased by Lohan’s SUV.
9. Mel Gibson: August 02, 2006. Gibson was charged with misdemeanor drunken driving just five days after he was stopped on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway for speeding. During the speeding stop, he allegedly made anti-Semitic comments that have stained his once lily-white public image.
8. Tracy Morgan: Nov 29, 2006. The former Saturday Night Live star was charged with driving while intoxicated in New York City after failing to “maintain a position in a lane of traffic” and driving erratically. At the time, the 30 Rock star was on probation in Los Angeles for the same offense.
7. Paris Hilton: September 7, 2006. For most celebrities, getting hit with a DUI is an instant image crisis. For Paris Hilton, it was a career boost. After serving her shortened sentence, she was released to the kind of hoopla that was topped only by the release of the Iranian Embassy hostages in 1980.

6. Kiefer Sutherland: September 29, 2007. The star of the Fox TV drama 24, who was already on probation for a 2004 drunken driving arrest, was stopped shortly after 1 a.m. when police saw him make an illegal U-turn. Although Sutherland faced a maximum sentence of 1 year due to previous offenses, he served just 48 days and was released in January 2008.
5. Nicole Richie: Dec. 11, 2006. The Simple Life co-star was arrested after witnesses reported seeing her black Mercedes-Benz SUV headed the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank. The California Highway Patrol later found her parked in the car-pool lane. Although sentenced to 5 days in jail, she was released after a record 82 minutes.
4. Mickey Rourke: November 8, 2007. Rourke was arrested in Miami Beach after allegedly riding a moped while intoxicated. He has since beat the rap, but was found guilty of a lesser charge of reckless driving for making an illegal U-turn. Rourke got six months probation, a fine and 50 hours of community service. But the court let him buy off the time at $10 per hour.
3. Rebecca De Mornay: October 30, 2007. De Mornay was arrested for a traffic violation in Beverly Hills when officers smelled alcohol on her breath, but it took 2 more months for charges to be filed. In February 2008 she pleaded No Contest and was sentenced to three years’ probation.
2. Bill Murray: The Lost in Translation star was stopped by police while riding a golf cart through the streets of Stockholm. He refused to blow into a breathalyser but was forced to take a blood test, and reportedly signed a document admitting that he was driving under the influence. The case has yet to be resolved.
1. Nick Nolte: Sept. 11, 2002. Nolte was taken into custody after driving his car erratically along the Pacific Coast Highway. He was accused of being under the influence of the so-called “date rape” drug GHB. His lawyer said that Nolte apparently consumed the drug inadvertently, believing it was a weightlifting supplement. In December 2002, he pleaded No Contest to driving under the influence and was placed on three years probation, which he has since successfully completed. But man, that was some mugshot.
