Kate Hudson & Matthew McConaughey’s Foul Play?

This would be a heck of a Mother’s Day present from Kate Hudson to Goldie Hawn.
Hudson may just be teaming with Matthew McConaughey for a third time to remake Hawn’s 1978 flick with Chevy Chase called Foul Play [watch a clip]. It’d be a particularly wacky comedy about a woman trying to restart her life after a divorce only to get swept up into an assassination plot against the Pope, her only help being bumbling federal agent. The original also starred Dudley Moore and Burgess Meredith and was written by Colin Higgins, the guy who penned the Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder opus Silver Streak [watch the trailer], so it’ll be hard to top that action.
