Sigourney Weaver Would Definitely Do Another Alien

Considering the lackluster performance of the Alien vs. Predator movies (combined with their lackluster quality overall), one might be prone to lamentation at hearing Sigourney Weaver talk about the possibility of a fifth Alien sequel.

“I would definitely do another if I had a director like Ridley Scott and we had a good idea,” she says of the classic sci-fi movie franchise. “Ridley is enthusiastic about it.”

At least she’s holding out for Ridley Scott. Is Alien really a series that needs to be revisited anymore, though? What more is there really to do with a bunch of monsters that drool acid? One has to be curious about exactly how enthusiastic he is, and about what in particular. Likely, it’s just Weaver spitballing a little. The standard “sure, if the script and personnel were right’ sort of response. It could just mean nothing, but hey, the internet is nothing if not a hothouse for speculation!
