Video: Garden Party

Opening this week in limited release is Garden Party, a moody drama about the seedy underbelly of young people doing all sorts of unsettling things just to get by in Los Angeles.

April is a 15-year-old runaway trying to figure out a way to survive that doesn’t involve nudity, hooking up with a group of confused kids looking for their own ways through, whether it be getting into a band or finding a job that doesn’t make them miserable. They all revolve around Sally St. Clair (Vinessa Shaw), a realtor/weed dealer whose web isn’t easy to escape.
