Worst Week
Comedy
Premieres Monday, Sept. 22 at 9:30 p.m.
CBS

Stars: Kyle Bornheimer (The Office), Erinn Hayes (Will & Grace), Kurtwood Smith (That ‘70s Show), Nancy Lenehan (My Name Is Earl), Jay Malone

What’s It All About: Sam Briggs is an entertainment magazine editor who will do anything to please his fiancée’s parents…but Sam (Bornheimer) and Melanie Clayton (Hayes) have only one hurdle left to clear before they start their life together: breaking the news to Melanie’s conservative folks that they have a wedding in the works and a baby on the way.

Quote: ” A friend of mine asked me, “Well, he’s not going to step in it every week, is he?” And the answer is, “Absolutely, yeah, he is.” I mean, that’s what we’re going to do or we’re going to set out to do, and the trick will be figuring out ways to keep it fresh and keep it surprising and interesting.” — Show creator Matt Tarses when asked how he will maintain the “chain of disaster” plot device over the course of the series.

Why You Should Watch: With his slapstick skills running in high gear, newcomer Kyle Bornheimer takes up the gauntlet of other lovable regular Joe’s laid down by the likes of Ray Romano and Jason Alexander. With a natural talent for screwing up, no matter how hard he tries, the obvious question is: Will the writers be able to keep it up week after week?

Odds: (As predicted by Vegas Odds-Maker Johnny Avello, Executive Director of Race & Sports - Wynn Las Vegas)

It’ll Evaporate First This Season: 22 to 1

It’ll Live To See A Second Season: 12 to 1

It’ll Become A Mega-Hit: 45 to 1

Johnny’s Verdict: “Early jocular moments may keep this afloat.”
