Alex Breckenridge is ready to go back to television on the new show The Ex List after her memorable stint on the Courtney-Cox vehicle, Dirt, which was unfortunately canceled last season. While talking to her at this summer’s CBS party at the TCA, we asked her what she thought happened to the show. “I think that first of all, we were cable, and second of all we had more of a cult following.” She also told us how she felt the second she heard the bad news. “Well, I heard it was coming because the producer actually called me and told me that it would be a miracle if we stayed on,” she said. “Luckily, like a godsend, I got The Ex List literally thinking I was auditioning for something because I was bored. It’s fantastic. It’s amazing. If I wasn’t on the show I’d totally be a fan.”

Catch Alex on The Ex List on CBS this fall, but in the meantime, catch a preview on Fancast.
