Wes Anderson

Wes Anderson, creator of the quirky comedies Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Darjeeling Limited, will next work on My Best Friend, a remake of Patrice Leconte’s comedy Mon meilleur ami as the screenwriter, and he may eventually direct it as well. The film is about a man so thoroughly harsh and boorish that he eventually learns that no one he knows actually likes him, which prompts his business partner to bet him that he can’t produce a best friend. Sounds like it could be another role for Owen Wilson… or perhaps Bill Murray.

Incidentally, if you’re familiar with Anderson’s work, it comes as absolutely no surprise that the guy would sport a bow tie.
