Ben Affleck To Direct and Star in “The Town”

Ben Affleck’s directorial debut Gone Baby Gone got him a lot of praise and attention, and he’s now chosen a follow-up project - an adaptation of the Chuck Hogan novel The Town, and this time he’ll be re-writing it and starring in it as well. If he could raise the profile of his brother Casey with his last movie, maybe he can resuscitate his own career by directing himself as well. Although the logline, that it’s about a career thief who becomes smitten with a bank manager, already means it doesn’t have the same weight as his first project.
