“Brick” and “Bloom” Director Rian Johnson To Do “Looper”

He redefined high school flicks by turning it into noir with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Brick; The Brothers Bloom is set to put a different spin on the con-man movie with Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel Weisz; and now writer/director Rian Johnson is taking on a time-travel thriller called Looper, in which a cabal of hitmen have their targets sent to them from the future. With the big buzz Johnson’s films have received so far, he’s certainly become a man to keep tabs on.
