Brooke Burke and pro partner Derek Hough weren’t the only winners last night.

ABC blew away all of its competition within the 18-49 demo ratings with a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving lead-in to the Dancing With The Stars two-hour finale, and tore Hugh Laurie’s House down in the process.

The highly anticipated results show capped off a sweet season for DWTS, winning the time slot for the third week in a row. Still, the numbers were down 17% from last year when Hélio Castroneves took the top prize with our own Julianne Hough as his pro partner.

It’ll be a long cold winter until season 8 picks up on March 17, 2009 but ABC hopes to keep the fire burning with According to Jim and Eli Stone dousing out the FOX dynamos House and Fringe or cooling down CBS’ burning hot shows The Mentalist and Without a Trace.

Good Luck.
