‘Today’ Show Goes Prime-Time

The Today show isn’t just for early risers anymore as NBC’s morning staple is going prime-time on December 22nd for one night only. So, if four hours in the AM won’t fill your fix for Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker, and Ann Curry, you’re in luck. They’ll be hosting a one-hour special reviewing the biggest news events of 2008 along with favorite pop culture moments and show bloopers, Reuters reports.
This year in review show is the first time in more than a decade that Today has tried an evening venture, and comes on the heels of late-night host Jay Leno making the move to prime-time at 10 p.m.
So what do you think? Is the Today show ready for prime-time? And the major question remains - do they still all have to be up at 5:00 AM the next morning?
