CBS Midseason Schedule: Horror & Ashton Kutcher

CBS is strike-proofing its midseason schedule by bringing in the big guns. And by big guns we mean Ashton Kutcher (uh-oh).
With the Screen Actors Guild poised to deprive TV-obsessed fans another few months of scripted television this spring, CBS has decided to fill their lineup with a few un-strikeable shows… just in case.
Ashton Kutcher debuts his new hidden-camera reality show called “Game Show in My Head,” where people embarrass themselves in front of strangers for money. It airs on Saturdays, though, so it wouldn’t really fill any void caused by a strike.
Slated for a Thursday slot is “Harper’s Island,” a horror movie that takes place over 13 episodes. CBS is also coyly throwing in the second season of “Flashpoint,” which is essentially untouchable by a potential strike because it’s produced in Canada. Throw in a couple of go-to reality shows like “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race,” and you’ve got yourself a good lineup of quality programming.
Other networks, take note. We don’t want to have to endure anything related to celebrity circuses or beefy gladiators ever again.
