Reimagineering “Romancing The Stone”

So there’s another remake in the works. This time, Fox is planning to relaunch Romancing The Stone, with Eagle Eye co-writer Daniel McDermott writing the script. Will the be able to top Robert Zemeckis’ original adventure story about a romance writer (Kathleen Turner) who gets caught up in a Colombian adventure with a mercenary (Michael Douglas) and inspires Eddy Grant tunes that aren’t “Electric Avenue” as well as The Jewel of the Nile?
