Watch a Movie on Fancast: “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”

Back in 1999, Guy Ritchie was a quirky British filmmaker who made a splash with his dirty and stylish debut feature called Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which starred an ex-soccer hooligan named Vinnie Jones and an unknown ex-diving champion/model named Jason Statham. He never could have dreamed that, less than a decade later, he’d have married, procreated with and divorced Madonna all on the strength of that film (although Snatch certainly helped, too).
Back in his glory days, Ritchie could craft a crime caper like no other. Four best friends- Bacon (Statham), Soap (Dexter Fletcher), Tom (Jason Flemyng) and Eddie (Nick Moran) - put up big stakes to try to win some easy money playing cards with a guy named Hatchet Harry, not knowing that the game is rigged. Five hundred thousand quid later, the quartet has to scramble to figure out how to pay their way out of the hole their in, lest they face Harry’s brutal bill collector Big Chris (Vinnie Jones). The answer to their hapless prayers comes when Eddie overhears his neighbors planning a big heist, so they plan to camp out on the homestead and then rob the robbers once they come back from the caper. Of course, nothing is ever as easy as it seems, and the double-dealing shenanigans that follow have to be seen to be believed.
