TELEVISION

1. The Daily Show: 8/5/08 – Missed last night’s episode? It was a doobie, err, doozy, man! Pineapple Express star Seth Rogen stopped by to give some advice to the kids out there: “Drop out of school, smoke a bunch of weed, and write a movie!” He then goes on to explain what a poor role model he is, saying “I’m 26, but I look 50, and this is where it doesn’t work for you.” There goes the neighborhood.

2. Big Brother 10: Episode 11 – Remember the unitard? It’s baaaaack!

3. Pamela Anderson Strips – Well it wouldn’t be the first time the world’s seen her in her birthday suit, only seems natural for a gal who loves “gratuitous sex and boobs.”

Feature
Spy Game You don’t get much better than a Brad Pitt-Robert Redford team-up. With Tony Scott directing, you know you’ve got a good thriller on your hands. In Spy Game, Redford is veteran spy Nathan Muir, who comes to discover that his one-time protege Tom Bishop (Pitt) has gone rogue and has been captured in China after an attempt to smuggle human rights activist Elizabeth Hadley (Catherine McCormack) out of prison went awry. They were once close friends, but since then a lot of bad blood has kept them apart for years – and really, how close can you be in the spy game? Still, Muir gets back into action to try and mount a rescue attempt, even though his superiors just want him to give them a reason to let Bishop die.

Trailer
Tropic Thunder Now it’s time for the highly anticipated Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder, a movie about a squad of pretentious and obnoxious actors who think they’re filming the most important Vietnam War film ever made, only to find out that they’re in the thick of some serious jungle danger. It might be the craziest flick of the year.
