‘Prison Break’ Will End Its Run This Spring

After much speculation, it has been confirmed that FOX drama Prison Break will end its run when it returns from hiatus in April.

The series premiered in August 2005 and broke out of the gate strongly, but many critics and fans alike wondered how the show could continue after the inevitable escape from prison.

Prison Break will return for its final batch of four new episodes beginning Friday April 17th at 8pm ET on FOX. FOX president Kevin Reilly stated at the Winter TCA Press Tour that there is a possibility of additional episodes being added on to help wrap the series.

The shocking revelation in the winter mid-season finale was that Lincoln and Michael’s mother is in fact alive (played by Kathleen Quinlan) and that will play heavily in the ramp up to the series finale.
