Patrick McGoohan

Patrick McGoohan, whom Peter Falk once described as a “mesmerizing” actor and among a small select group of genuinely original people, has died at the age of 80. He is best known for his television work in The Prisoner and Secret Agent, but younger film audiences remember him fondly for his unrepentant bastard King Edward the Longshanks in the Academy Award winning Braveheart.

As a tribute, here he is at his nefarious best as the ruthless monarch of England.
