Paranormal Coppers With An Attitude Arrive At A&E

Always dial 911 in an emergency – for a fire, a crime, a crisis – but for a ghost? That’s the case in Chicago where a group of cops are moonlighting as ghost chasers on the new A&E unscripted series, “Paranormal Cops.” Crime fighting by day, ghost hunting by night!
This isn’t the first ghost hunting show to come along, but it’s the first with a law enforcement team at the helm. The police group includes four officers, two tech assistants and a “medium.” And this isn’t just a fame seeking gag – turns out the group existed before producers even came calling.
Robert Sharenow, senior VP of nonfiction and alternative programming at A&E, said “‘Paranormal Cops’ is the perfect marriage of A&E’s successful crime and justice genre with our blossoming paranormal programming that documents real-life accounts of bona fide paranormal investigators.” The network also just announced a third season of a similar show, “Paranormal State,” which centers around a group of Penn State college students.
“Paranormal Cops” is tentatively slated to premiere this year and joins the ranks of other spooky shows on cable such as SciFi’s “Ghost Hunters” and a newly ordered spin-off of that show.
Does this mean that monsters under the bed are next on the most wanted list?
