What’s Hot: Tuesday Ratings

Movie soundtrack night on ‘American Idol’ powered Fox to another Tuesday night ratings win, followed by CBS, ABC, NBC and The CW. ‘Idol’ was up from last week with almost 23.5 million viewers. The ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ results show - where we said good-bye to Steve O - was also up from last week. ‘Fringe‘ however dropped back a bit in its second week back from hiatus, and was down a half million viewers.

What’s Hotter: 90210

Donna Martin is back! Tori Spelling finally returned to Beverly Hills and her old stomping grounds on last night’s ‘90210′ and it helped lift the series to its best ratings since February (2.1 million viewers). What did we learn about Donna? Well, she’s been living in Japan for years and is a hugely successful fashion designer. She’s still married to David Silver, but *gasp*, they’re separated! (Guess Brian Austin Green still isn’t on board to return to the show.)

What’s Definitely Not Happening: According To Jim

Could this finally be the swan song for ‘According To Jim?’ Amazingly, Jim Belushi’s sitcom has survived for eight long seasons, but the run could be over. Last night’s double episodes averaged just under 4.5 million viewers, which is lackluster even for ABC’s sitcoms. This show has been called dead in the water before, but it sure would seem that this is indeed the end.

Wednesday Sizzlers:

  • The Cougar: 10pm on TV Land You know the term. 40-year-old realtor Stacey is on the prowl for a man - a much younger man. Vivica A. Fox hosts what we’re sure will we our next great guilty pleasure.
  • The A-List Awards: 10pm on Bravo Kathy Griffin hosts Bravo’s second annual salute to pop culture, fashion, celebrity and all things fabulous.
  • American Idol: 9pm ET on Fox It’s time for one more singer to bid farewell, and if we had to place bets, we think Lil Rounds might be saying bye bye. You don’t talk back to Simon!
