Radar Online, which has been a pretty reliable source for Farrah Fawcett health news over the past month, is reporting that the actress’ cancer battle has taken a turn for the worse.

“Ryan had to take her back to her home in Westwood,” where she has more facilities to help her deal with her illness said an unnamed source.

“Right now, Ryan and other close friends are staying by her side,” said another.

Fawcett’s son, Redmond O’Neal, was released from prison for three hours over the weekend to visit his mother.

“A sergeant and a deputy drove him to his mother’s home [Saturday] and he’s now back in custody,” said an L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesman to People. He added that such visits are allowed for inmates when they are dealing with “the gravely ill, to attend a funeral, or similar emergencies.”

Fawcett has been suffering from cancer since 2006 which has recently spread to her liver. The younger O’Neal, in a court hearing before his short release, said his mother weighs a mere 86 pounds.
