Carrie Ann Inaba, the lone female judge on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ will go under the knife today in hopes of easing pain in her neck from arthritis, reports People.com.

Inaba told the magazine, “The space around my spinal cord has become compressed,” and that “we’re hoping this procedure will relieve that.”

Let’s just hope fellow judge Len Goodman doesn’t pop into the hospital for some snarky critique of Inaba’s surgeon, although the British dance coach was rather kind to this season’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ winner Donny Osmond.

The exact condition Inaba suffers from is called spinal stenosis, something that causes narrowing of the spine, putting pressure on the spinal cord or nerves. Pain or numbness in the legs, back or neck are common symptoms.

Inaba admits that she may have to undergo further surgery in the future.
