Special Agents G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J)–of the Los Angeles based NCIS Office of Special Projects (OSP)–work with Gibbs and the gang to bring down a terrorist cell in a special two-part episode of ‘NCIS‘.

O’Donnell and LL Cool J guest star in the April 28th and May 5th episodes that serve as the ‘back-door pilot’ to introduce the characters who will lead the ‘NCIS’ spin-off series.

The spin-off hasn’t been officially picked up or even named yet, but this first episode is called ‘Legend,’ which is what the new show is rumored to be titled.

Note to fans: The proposed spin-off would air in addition to the extremely popular ‘NCIS.’ Just as, say, ‘Law & Order’ and ‘Law & Order: SVU’ run concurrently, so would the new ‘NCIS’ franchise.

Louise Lombard, who will look familiar to all you ‘CSI’ fans (she played Sofia Curtis for three seasons), is also part of the new crew, portraying Special Agent Lara Macy. Daniela Ruah and Peter Cambor are also on board.
