Note to reality television producers. If you don’t want to get slapped with a lawsuit avoid tricking would-be contestants.

Malena Brush is suing E! after allegedly being tricked into thinking she was shooting a ‘Making the Band’ style show. In reality, she was taking part in ‘Reality Hell.’

Brush’s suit claims mental anguish and false imprisonment for the trickery, reports the Los Angeles Times.

‘Reality Hell’ is described as a show that gives a taste of fame “to those willing participants who are just very much excited to be part of the reality process.” A network executive said participants’ reaction upon finding out they are on ‘Reality Hell’ has been “very fun.”

Brush is asking for unspecified financial damages from E! and others involved with the reality show.

E! declined to comment to the LA Times.
