Tina Fey On Porn, Sarah Palin & Comcast
Tina Fey shared her predictably funny thoughts on current affairs at the Ad Council gala in New York on Wednesday night, where she was speaking to the crowd of guests.
First up, the ‘30 Rock’ star tackled Sarah Palin, whom she cleverly impersonated in those infamous (and Emmy-winning) 2008 ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketches during the presidential election. “They made a porn movie about Sarah Palin and the same actress, Lisa Ann, played me in the porn version of ‘30 Rock,’” she said to the crowd. “Weirdly, of the three of us, Lisa Ann knows the most about foreign policy.”
Adult film star Lisa Ann guest starred in an episode of ‘30 Rock’ last season playing Fey’s character, Liz Lemon, in a mock porno.
Fey also didn’t mince any words when chatting about the news that Comcast, which is based in Philadelphia, might possibly buy a controlling stake in NBC Universal. “It’s leaving me thinking: Will I have to change the name of my show from ‘30 Rock to ‘Industrial Park on the Schuylkill River’?” she joked.
And last but not least, the funny woman commented on her network’s lackluster ratings.
“NBC is sadly the fourth-place network; actually, we’re in ninth place if you count the radio stations ahead of us right now,” she said, while the crowd howled with laughter. “I really believe that if everyone in this room would watch NBC for one night then that would be a 40 percent [ratings] increase.”
