Fancast senior TV editor Brian Gianelli oversees programming on the Fancast homepage and contributes regularly to the Fancast blog, two of the site's two most trafficked and high-profile destinations. He also writes Tuned In, a three-times-a-week column highlighting what's hot, what's coming up and what's performing well in the world of TV and ratings. Tuned In breaks down the ratings for shows, tells you what shows to watch each night, and also gives context and commentary on why shows are doing well (or not). It also looks back at the night in TV to recap all the watercooler, "oh my goodness" moments in a fun and informative way.

A member of the Television Critic's Association, his interests range from Mad Men to America's Next Top Model, from Planet Earth to Friday Night Lights. Low-brow reality, sci-fi, quality comedy and of course drama are just some of the genres he plows through on his - not one, but two DVRs at home.

Prior to Fancast, he worked at Yahoo! TV and before that at Fox Sports, in the live production department and at Fox Sports.com as an editor. He is a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Communication Studies. He's a die-hard Bruin, and thinks J.J. Abrams can do no wrong.
