Sara Bibel
Writer
Fancast writer Sara Bibel writes Deep Soap, a three-times-a-week column covering daytime television. With Deep Soap, Sara brings an insider's perspective to the genre, with original interviews and critical analysis. Prior to Fancast she worked as a staff writer for The Young and The Restless and All My Children, winning a Daytime Emmy and two Writers Guild Awards.
Sara also covers primetime shows including Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, The Bachelorette and The Amazing Race. She has interviewed some of television's brightest, as well as numerous eliminated reality show contestants. Sara's Fancast features included SoapNet's superbowl counter programming, The Soaper Bowl, and numerous top ten lists and episode recaps. She also coordinated a major package including an interview, a live chat, and classic video clips surrounding Grant Aleksander's return to Guiding Light.
A member of the Writer's Guild West and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, her expertise includes anything serialized: daytime, primetime, past, present, future. She also knows more than anyone ought to about all aspects of 80s pop culture. Prior to her stint as a daytime writer, Sara was a research analyst for Columbia TriStar Television. She is a graduate of Harvard University with a BA in English and American Literature.
When in doubt she always asks herself, "What would Erica Kane do?"
