Deadly Shooting at ‘The Wire’ Star’s Home

Guns were ablaze outside the home of drug mastermind Marlo Stanfield yesterday.

No this is not an episode of ‘The Wire.’ This was very real - and very deadly.

The real-life shootout took place in the Brooklyn neighborhood where ‘The Wire’ actor Jamie Hector - who played Marlo Stanfield on the HBO drama - lives with his wife. The couple were celebrating their baby shower when nearly 50 shots rang out leaving Linton Williams, 17, dead.

“What a gun battle … They have been watching too much TV,” an anonymous New York Police officer told the New York Daily News.
Andrew Filson, 32, who was also shot at the scene, was taken to the hospital but was followed by gunmen who continued to fire on his - hitting him one more time outside the hospital.

Hector, a Brooklyn native, also has seen roles in ‘Heroes,’ and ‘Jericho.’
