Jim Carrey Proposes To Jenny McCarthy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show?

Next time a celebrity starts whining about how hard it is to meet anyone in Hollywood, they should book a guest visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. That’s because the successful talk show host seems to be trying her hand at match-making.

Maybe it’s her newlywed glow, but it seems ever since she and Portia De Rossi tied the knot, love is all Ellen can think about. And she’s letting her famous friends know it.

On Wednesday’s show, Jim Carrey was on the Ellen show to promote “Yes Man.” It included a segment where Ellen gave the actor a variety of tasks where he had to answer yes. One of these tasks involved bringing out his longtime girlfriend Jenny McCarthy and telling him he should propose. It was interesting TV to say the least, given the fact both have publicly spoken against marrying. Jim and Jenny even played along until Ellen interrupted for another segment. So close!

And it’s not her first set-up attempt; she tried to pair Jennifer Aniston with Shemar Moore (pre-John Mayer), and told Ryan Seacrest he should settle down with a gal like Eva Mendes (never mind she has a boyfriend, and he….uh nevermind) after presenting him with a whole slew of photos of eligible Hollywood bachelorettes.

Ellen loves love. Can she help it if she wants her biggest commitment-phobic friends to join in? Maybe not but she should warn those guests to expect the third degree. It’s like being nagged by your mom – only on TV!
