Lisa Rinna Wants Her Old Melrose Place Back

Lisa Rinna wants her old job back, and she’s asking the producers of the new Melrose Place to throw her a bone.

As you may or may not know, Rinna was on the original incarnation of MP, playing the volatile Taylor McBride. When the series went off the air, she resorted to Lifetime movies and reverted back to her previous industry in the soaps as the host of Soap Talk. Currently she is best known as one of E!’s much-mocked red carpet correspondents.

So when Rinna heard about plans to revive the 1990’s sensation that was Melrose Place, a little light went off in her head, and she decided to throw her hat into the ring. “Tell them I’m available, ready to go,” Rinna said to E!. “I’m very professional and hardworking!” But she’s no Delusional Dottie. She knows that due to her questionable post-MP gigs her name might be draw different reactions from producers than, say Heather Locklear.

“I’m way down on the totem pole,” she added. “You know, this one doesn’t want to do it, that one doesn’t want to do it, so I’m just hoping that they get down far enough to me, where they’re finally like, ‘Oh, just call Lisa…Just hire her, for God’s sake! Stop her begging!’ ”

If you ask us, she’s paid her dues and is ready to jump back in the game. Because if being forced to yak it up with Joey Fatone on the red carpet while being ignored by Brangelina isn’t paying your dues, then we don’t know what is! Give this lady a chance!
