Family and friends said a final farewell to Tony Award-winning actress Natasha Richardson yesterday as the 45-year-old actress was buried in a Lithgow, New York cemetery, about 80 miles north of New York City.

Richardson’s husband, Liam Neeson, and her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, waved to reporters set behind a police barricade near St. Peter’s Lithgow Episcopal Church. The family — including the couple’s two sons, Micheal, 13, and Daniel, 12 — then allowed the media to photograph them in front of church before the service (seen above).

Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Laura Linney, Uma Thurman and Timothy Dalton also attended the service.

Richardson died Wednesday at a Manhattan hospital after falling while skiing Monday at the Mont Tremblant resort in Quebec. The New York medical examiner said Richardson suffered from an epidural hematoma, which causes bleeding between the skull and the brain.
