Did you watch Pari’s Hilton’s BFF? Slate did. And they feel the same way about the show as they do about Ms. Hilton; they hate it! But that doesn’t stop them from immersing themselves into the darkest corners of the show (and Hilton’s mind!) to investigate the world of Paris and her contestants. They call the show “a ladies-in-waiting game show, a bubble-gum farce, a boot camp for red-carpet wannabes, a princess fantasy about princess fantasies, an insidiously snappy production.” And if that’s not enough, they’ve got additional words for Paris, stating that her “life’s achievement has been to advance empty fame as performance art.” The show includes a ‘Party Like Paris’ installment, a gossip component, a flirting competition, among others. What kind of logic does one potential BFF, Lauren, use when asked why she would be Paris’ best best friend? “I think we have a similar bone structure,” whereas another contestant, Baje, articulated the reasons why she thought she might be dismissed, saying “There are two reasons I can be up for elimination. One, I wasn’t gonna partay, and another thing can be cuz I’m a bitch.” Nice. Looks like these ladies will fit in with Paris and her pals quite nicely.
