Beverly Garland, lovable TV mom of the 50’s, has passed away at the age of 82. She was best known for playing Mrs. Fred MacMurray in the legendary TV series, ‘My Three Sons.’ She also had a classic film career that spanned 50 years and included a staggering 40 films.

“I never considered myself very much of a passive kind of actress,” she once said. “I was never very comfortable in love scenes, never comfortable playing a sweet, lovable lady.” But what a sweet, lovable lady she was in the eyes of her TV audience.
