On this week’s Dancing With The Stars semi-final showdown, the stars drew their dances out of a hat, and some got the luck of the draw…and some didn’t.
Jason and Edyta were first up with a fox trot, which the judges agreed across the board was fantastic for a score of 9, 10, 9. And a “ten from Len” is the golden ticket. Their second dance, a passionate paso doble, received triple 9’s.
Marissa and Tony: Marissa won another underdog point when she acknowledged all the naysayers and dedicated her first dance to “everyone that believed in them.” Carrie Ann then gave her a double whammy saying of the first dance, you’re an “unlikely contender” and of the second, “I wasn’t excited by it.” At least Bruno called her “sexy in the city.”
Scores: quick step: a 9, 9, 8. rumba: 8,9,9
Cristian and Cheryl: Cristian’s first dance was a “waltz with a wow factor” in Bruno-speak, earning him three 9’s. But the big dance came in the Latin round: Cristian had a “rematch with the samba”–the dance that did in his arm two weeks ago. This time turned out much better: the judges paddled up two 10’s and a 9!
Kristi and Mark brought drama back in their tango to the tune of two 10’s and a 9. And according to Bruno, their jive was “the cherry on the icing on the cake of a sweet, delicious jive.” With that, Kristi reclaimed her lead after two weeks out of the top spot.
