Louise Sorel and Scott Reeves Return to Daytime

Hot on the heels of the return of Crystal Chappell’s Carly, on October 30th , “Carly will get caught in the murder but Vivian has her exonerated by having someone else confess to the crime. Vivian wants to be the one who tortures Carly.” Last time, Vivian’s character evolved from scary to wacky — a change which Sorel did not enjoy.   “I did take that problem upstairs to the producers’ office. I said, “What has happened to Vivian? She used to be sophisticated and intelligent!”… I did everything they asked me to do. Full out. No matter what. I’ve been bald. I’ve been a bag lady. I’ve been Elvis. I was a hyperthyroid Mary Had a Little Lamb. I even dressed up as a box of french fries. It was coming out of nowhere but that’s what you get paid to do and I did it.”

Today, ABC announced that soap star Scott Reeves, best known for playing Ryan McNeil on ‘The Young & The Restless’, will be joining the cast of ‘General Hospital‘ in the role of Steven Lars Webber.  Steven Lars is Elizabeth’s brother.  Shaun Benson briefly played the character in 2004.  This time, Steven Lars will be the hospital’s new chief of staff.  According to TV Guide, his initial storyline will involve the love triangle between Elizabeth, Lucky and Nikolas.  It’s a safe bet that he will also be working with fellow doctors Robin and Patrick.  Reeves, who is also a CMA nominated musician, says he will commute from his Nashville home.  Reeves is married to Melissa Reeves, who played Jennifer Devereux on ‘Days of Our Lives’.
