According to USA Today, Josh Groban will be appearing on The 60th Annual Emmy Awards (Sept. 21, on ABC) singing a 4-minute medley comprised of the most memorable theme songs from TV history.

This year’s ceremonies promise to be very entertaining due to the explosion of new cable TV nominations, heated races from traditional Network quarters, and a whole host of kitschy gimmicks intended to celebrate the powerful impact television has had on worldwide, popular culture.

In addition to the TV theme song medley, ABC has announced plans for a Memorable TV Moments Tribute, award presentations by all the “Desperate Housewives” and a Melrose Place reunion. “This has the potential to be a fun, great moment. It’s full of nostalgia and nice surprises” said Groban.

Some of the theme songs confirmed in the medley will be from “The Simpsons” and “Friends.” So naturally, we wonder: has someone over at the Emmy’s been snagging ideas from The Biz & The Buzz? You be the judge.
