Jimmy Kimmel Hosts Emmy Pre-Special Sunday Night On ABC

It looks like all the hard work is paying off for Jimmy Kimmel. He gets his own pre-Emmy special Sunday night, followed by a turn as a presenter on the Emmys right after. From the looks of this topsy-turvy clip, where he interviews all five of Emmy’s hosts, not to mention nominees in the same Reality Host category, he’s the right man for the job, any job, whether it’s hosting a special or refereeing a debate.

ABC has got big plans in store for their late-night host, announcing that the pre-Emmy special, with a roster full of A-Listers, is not just a one time shot. In addition to rolling on with his late night Jimmy Kimmel Live, next year’s schedule will be dotted with the kind of quirky, thrown-together specials which have become Jimmy’s niche.

Sunday’s entré to the format, Jimmy Kimmel’s Big Night of Stars, features chats with Ryan Seacrest, Tracy Morgan, Salma Hayek and Kobe Bryant. The special will be introduced by Barbara Walters, with William Shatner and Rachael Ray also expected to turn up.
