Gossip Girl Promos Get Racier

Leave it to the CW to make lemons out of controversy with the second round of its upcoming Gossip Girl marketing campaign. The network has launched a marketing strategy similar (if not worse!) to the original “OMFG” campaign that launched a thousand complaints from parent groups. This time they ironically use the language that the Parent’s Television Council utilized to describe the original campaign (”Every parent’s worst nightmare”) and super-impose these statements above images of Blake Lively’s character getting racy with a male cast member. The campaign will promote the new season of the highly anticipated show, which begins September 1st. OMG! They’re at it again!
