‘30 Rock’ Goes Golden Globes: “I’ll Be Cheering”

Hope everyone had a great holidays.

I took it easy with my folks.

It’s been a really busy schedule with 30 ROCK (watch the most recent episode above) and my stand-up schedule. So it was good just to take it easy. Yesterday, was our first day back at production for 30 ROCK. It was the table read. Which is basically our first rehearsal for the new script that we’re about to film. I can’t give away details, but the script was hilarious. It was fun to see everyone again after not seeing anyone for a few weeks. Next week we go back to filming. And this Sunday, I hope everyone tunes in for The Golden Globe Awards as 30 ROCK is up for at least 3 awards.

I will not be attending the awards, but a lot of the cast will be. So, I’ll be watching on TV and cheering for them as well. I’m also excited to watch because THE WRESTLER, in which i have a little part, also has multiple nominations. THE WRESTLER opens in more theaters this Friday.

I’ve seen it a few times now, and I like more each time. Watching the Golden Globes, I’ll also be rooting for Paul Giamatti, who is nominated for the HBO miniseries JOHN ADAMS. I had a big part in the movie AMERICAN SPLENDOR in which I played Paul’s friend. Paul played comic book writer Harvey Pekar, and I played his co-worker, often subject of his comic books & friend Toby Radloff.

I have lots of stand-up dates coming up too. Valentines Day weekend in NYC I will be at a great and fancy new comedy club called COMIX.

Right before the holidays, I did my first appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. I had a great time on the show. And off camera, Conan is one of the nicest people I’ve met. You can see the picture (above) I took on the set.
