Mad Men Sneak Peek Episode 8: “Souvenir”

Despite the occasional spat, Don and Betty Draper seem to be slowly inching back towards — dare I say — healthy relationship territory.

In next Sunday night’s episode of Mad Men, “Souvenir,” the two share a moment of closeness when a visibly exasperated Don is called to Rome by new client Conrad Hilton.

Betty, upon hearing the news, is a tad bit blue. Instead of being able to whisk away to Italy on a moments notice, she’s stuck on diaper duty with their two-month-old.

While rubbing her shoulders in sympathy Don affectionately reminds her that now, thanks to him, they can “always stay at the Waldorf” gratis.

But spoiler alert — based on the episode synopsis, “Don decides to include Betty on a company business trip,” looks like baby Gene is on his own — or more likely, with Carla — while the Drapers enjoy a little Roman holiday.
