Chris Pine Wants On “The A-Team”

Chris Pine is hot right now, even though his big make-or-break role, that of Captain James T. Kirk in the upcoming revamp of Star Trek, hasn’t been seen yet. He’s already being considered for the starring role in the upcoming Green Lantern film, and now he’s saying he wants to get in on Joe Carnahan’s big-screen relaunch of The A-Team.

Carnahan gave Pine his first big break in the ensemble slickster caper flick Smokin’ Aces, in which Pine says he’s had the most fun of his career, playing an insane Neo-Nazi killer. That’s why he’s not trying to play Templeton “Faceman” Peck, as his dreamy good looks would be natural for, but instead angling to play Howling Mad Murdock, the lunatic pilot and perennial thorn in the side of B.A. Baracus. Given Pine’s connection to Carnahan, there’s a pretty damn good shot that this will happen, and Pine’s involvement will most certainly put this flick on the fast track.
