Jessica Biel is starring in the feature-film adaptation of the long-running NBC action series The A-Team, alongside Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus and Sharlto Copley as “Howling Mad” Murdock. While promoting her vocal work in the animated feature Planet 51, she told reporters a little bit about how next year’s summer tentpole film is turning out as well as how much she’s excited about the gunplay involved.

“It’s going really, really well,” Biel said with a smile. “It’s been a complete blast. It’s really fun. I’m getting to work a lot with weapons again, which I haven’t done in a long time. It sounds kinda weird, but it’s the best to learn about that kind of thing, I think. The cast is wonderful. Joe Carnahan, our director, I think is hitting the nail right on the head. We’ve got a really interesting tone going on. I was a little bit concerned at first - were we going to be really super cheesy, were we going to be really dark? What were we doing, really? I think we’ve found lots of humor at the same time as being quite emotional with dramatic moments. I think it’s going to be a lot of different things combined into this one movie. A lot of throwbacks, a lot of paying homage to the original show. We’re in the middle of it, so it’s kind of hard to know, but I think it’s going really well. Everyone says it’s looking really beautiful and the scenes are cutting together really well. That’s pretty much all I think I can say.”
